Sneak Peek

I wanted to share the tiny corset I've just finished for the set to go with my upcoming doll.
I'm working away, hoping to have her ready for adoption next week. :)

Blush

1 of the 3 sisters I'm currently working on. <3

I've always thought the PNF body could use a little blushing and depth.  This one still needs a bit of tweaking here and there, but I'm feeling pleased with the results so far.

These dolls have set the wheels in motion for the vendor theme I'm planning for Blythecon NYC and most likely the time leading up to it as well- starting with the next doll up for adoption.

Now on to the outfits! :)

Rediscovered

My fascination with BJds has been rekindled and I've fallen head over heels for DIM, Doll Chateau, Dollstown, IMDA and Unoas to name a few. These two stunning DIM dolls recently came to live with me and have faceups by two artists I greatly admire; Esthy and WinterNightPoem-both originally commissioned by Gail- NeverTooOld.

I am so in awe of both of them. <3

Downsizing

My studio destash sale has begun.

All items will end on Saturday - Sunday January 19- 20, 2013.
This little Pich Pich licca doll is just one of the many looking for a new home. Many of my other favorites dollies are available as well, including my Kamars, M'zelle Paname, Pose Dolls, Lady Licca, Scarlet and more. Along with the dollies there are loads of clothes, cases, fabrics, furniture and a beautiful vintage Singer featherweight sewing machine.

It's really hard to let many of them go, but I feel better knowing they will go to new homes where they will be more appreciated and have new adventures.

Dust and scratches

There were too many ideas swirling around my mind to try to carve one girl at a time.  So here are a few of the 10 little faceplates I've given new identities in the last 2 days.  Next time I must remember to wear a mask. I'll be coughing up Blythe dust for the next week I'm sure.  lol
While carving, I went in search of a little tool I needed-- one thing led to another as it does and I started preparing for a studio de-stash sale to begin this Sunday. Stay tuned...

A new year to try again...

I hope everybody is having a wonderful start to the new year! I'm very happy to have spent the day moving toward one of my goals for this year-- I must sculpt my own doll. It has been a dream of mine for so loong to create my own dolls, but I constantly stand in my own way. It's gotten so ridiculous that I'll even use doing laundry as an excuse! But today, I gathered all my strength and finally made myself sit down and just start! I ignored the dishes, laundry, unmade beds, Christmas tree that still needs to be taken down and a million other chores that were screaming my name.  The clay in my hands was the best feeling in the whole world-- so much better than washing dishes! I'll share progress pics soon and hopefully my little dolls will turn out something like they live in my head.

While they dry I'm carving a new Blythe-- another goal for this year-- get back to more customizing.

I have so many ideas spinning in my head it's almost hard to know where to start and once again my studio looks like a whirlwind flew through. That is not a goal, haha! I will never be able to keep that place clean.  I have tried and tried, but I just can't keep it organized while I'm working-- and nothing good gets done either. I clean up and organize between projects, but during a project- anything goes.
