Gracie, my latest custom Kenner Blythe doll has found a new home. ^__^

A new Wanderling

Gracie is a 1972 Kenner, originally a brunette.
All custom/restoration work has been performed by me and includes the following:

Custom Kenner; Gracie

-She has her original scalp and has been re-rooted with the softest, pale blonde mohair. Styled into wavy curls.

-She has had no carving and her makeup has been applied with artist quality materials.

-Multiple layers of MSC sealer have been applied.

-She has a Pure Neemo body, which has been blushed and sealed with MSC as well.

-She has been given sleep eyes and has one special Wanderling pull charm along with her original.

-Her eyes, lids, lashes and chips and are all original and the chips are crystal clear. There is a small amount of ghosting in her right orange pupil, which is barely noticeable. The eyeballs are in good condition overall.

Once Upon a Blythe

I spoke with the curator and the gallery does have a layaway plan for anybody who may be interested in the more expensive custom dolls.

My sweet Anoushka -custom Blythe doll

I planned to have her ready last week, but the first re-root did not turn out the way I hoped, so I gave her another one in this gorgeous alpaca instead.

In the meantime, due to the overwhelming response I’ve received, she has been adopted. Thank you to everybody who loves her so much!

This little one is getting ready for adoption day! ^__^ I hope to have her ready and available to find a new home within the next week. She's trying on her hair and a new dress while waiting for her reroot and a name. I let her borrow my favorite Little Ditzies gnome hat to keep her head warm in the meantime.

My Entry for Auguste Clown Exhibit

I've finally finished my custom doll for the Auguste Clown Gallery's, Once Upon a Blythe Exhibit in Australia. Opening night is February 20, 2015 from 6-8pm. ^__^  I wish so much I could go to see all of the incredible dolls and meet all of the lovely dolly people!

The dolls will be available to purchase online as well and the gallery will ship worldwide. If anybody is interested, you can email the gallery at... info @ augusteclown .com (no spaces) to be included in the preview which will go out a few days before opening night.

Here is my entry,
Oswen; Guardian of the Forest
 ~with handmade Blackberry Bramble multilayered outfit, woodland stand and backdrop.

Oswen is the Guardian of an ancient forest. Of which forest, I dare not say. But there, she is the protector of Oak, Ash and Thorn. She can only be seen in autumn, riding her painted leaves as they fall to the forest floor. If she catches you spying on her, she will turn into a bird and fly far away into her sacred grove of magical trees.

 However, if you are very quiet and stay rather still, she will become curious about you and may come near. She loves lavender blossoms dipped in honey, and will be sure to linger a little longer for such treats. Do not look directly at her in the beginning, peek only through brief side-glances. If you remain patient, in time, she will finally let you get to know her. Once you gain her trust, you will be rewarded with a lifelong friend who will share all of her secrets and keep all of yours as well. 

~Oswen's Blackberry Bramble Outfit:

Her multi-layered dress is made of 2 separate outfits that can also be worn separately:
 -The outer dress is created from layers of luxurious silk and silk-velvet in dusky rose; aged and detailed with moss, flowers, berries and delicate curling branches. It is lined in a rose colored tissue silk with graceful ruffles peeking out from underneath.
 --The drop waist turtleneck under dress is made in a cozy brown, cotton-knit and complimented with a golden-plaid, tissue silk skirt which has been detailed with hand sewn twisting tucks.

Pre-order Information for the 'Hopeless Romantic' collection

I'm very excited to present the first outfit from my new "Hopeless Romantic" collection. A light and airy pair of heirloom overalls with a Bohemian flare.  All are created in heirloom fabrics with bits of silk and lace. There are 5 styles to choose from including:

Style 1; "I carry your heart with me". These feature a top pocket with a delicate heart cutout; the perfect place to carry a precious memory close to your heart. This style also has two deep front pockets along with two seersucker striped pockets in back and tender ruffle cuffs to feel extra swishy when you walk. The tabbed knotted straps come together in the back which has a special elastic closure so it's easy, breezy to slip on to go for a nice long walk through your favorite field of flowers.

Style 2; "Sentimental Dreamer" This style features a top pocket with a delicate heart cutout which is the perfect place to carry a precious memory close to your heart. There are patchwork pockets of rosebuds, silk and lace in front and back with a baggy round pocket on the side to keep all the seashells you collect on the beach. Your tiny toes will peek out from under the delicate ruffle cuffs which feels light as air when you twirl. The tabbed knotted straps come together in the back which has a special elastic closure so it's easy, breezy to slip on and go for a stroll on the beach at sunset.

Style 3; "through rose colored glasses" These feature a darling rosebud fabric with a bodice that is lined in luxurious pink silk.  There is also a matching silk top pocket which has a delicate heart cutout for the perfect place to carry a special treasure close to your heart.  This style has two deep front pockets lined in the same pink silk along with two more silk pockets in back. There are large cozy cuffs that can be rolled high or low- ready for everywhere you may wander. The tabbed, knotted straps come together in the back which has a special elastic closure so it's easy, breezy to slip on and go meander in the garden.

Style 4; "Sunshine in my Soul" This delicate style is light as air, letting the sunlight filter through to lift your spirit with a feeling of true bliss deep down inside. The tender ruffle cuffs feel extra swishy as you float through the clouds. The tabbed knotted straps come together in the back which has a special elastic closure so it's easy, breezy to slip on to go drift along the beach at sunrise.

Style 5; "Always be a Unicorn" If you're having a hard day (or even a good one!), slip on these sweet capri overalls and remember to always be a Unicorn. Not weighed down by inhibitions, you can skip along on any merry adventure. The tender ruffle cuffs tickle your ankles ever so gently, just to make you giggle. The tabbed knotted straps come together in the back, which has a special elastic closure so it's easy, breezy to slip on so you can romp along on your next journey without a worry in the world.

All of the outfits in this series are made in fabric that has been aged to look vintage, along with silk ribbons, lace, buttons and real metal eyelets. Each outfit will be made as close to the original as possible.  Lace, button color and ribbon substitutions may need to be made at times, but I will always use the very best and something I would want my own dolls to wear.  Fabrics and all bits are aged by hand to appear vintage and may be slightly different from piece to piece.

Almost ready!

Sorry to keep everybody waiting! I've been putting on the finishing touches and tweeking this and that. It always seems to take me so much longer than I expect, lol. Hopefully, you will all feel it was worth the wait. ^__^

Mateo (Mahtayo) Jane,  is the next Wanderling 
from the Decadent Roadside Extravaganza who is now looking for a new home.

**The outfit she is wearing is another style that will be available at BCNY and offered throughout the year as well.

We found Mateo during one of our Island tours... or I should say she found us! She loved our sideshow so much she wanted to come along with us, but was too shy to ask, so she quietly stowed away in our luggage car. When we finally coaxed her from the train, we were all captivated by her innate ability to talk and play with the birds and butterflies so she became our exotic bird and butterfly trainer. When you walk into her tent you are immediately taken into the heart of the forest as she performs in a spectacular show with her daring birds and dancing butterflies.

Mateo Jane has an RBL Sunshine Holiday head and Pure Neemo body.  

All customizations have been performed by me and include:

*Reroot with the pale blonde Alpaca hair and styling.

*Pure Neemo Body was given a spray tan and sealed  to match her head as close as possible

*Nose, mouth and philtrum have been carved

*Makeup and realistic freckles applied with artist quality paints and pastels

*Sealed with MSC

*Eyes boggled, and gaze lifted
*Thin, blonde eyelashes applied

*Custom Eyechips- 1 pair hand painted silver & grey, and 3 more sets in wheat, dusty pink and milky blue.

*Rosebud Eyelids

*Sleep eyes given with 2 handmade Wanderlings pull ring charms

Mateo's Shabby chic dress set has been designed and created by me.
